BMWs don’t always get traded in at BMW dealerships... do you have any idea how auctions work?

It depends on the seller. I sold and bought a couple of cars on CL... I listed my car for a very reasonable price so there wasn’t a big discount, and the same thing happened when I purchased my current car (the seller priced it very fairly.)
Anal Impala?
I thought we were talking strictly about Honda and Toyota, which are the brands you mentioned in your original comment. In terms of reliability, since the 90s they hardly put a food wrong. I have personally owned a 1994 Toyota and a 2008 Honda (current car) for a combined total of 12 years, and can honestly say that…
One word: reputation. It doesn’t matter that GM, Ford, etc. are now making good/great cars. Toyota and Honda have been doing it for decades.
The fact that Toyota and Honda don’t offer huge discounts on new models helps. It also helps that they are very reliable, therefore the demand on the used car market is high.
Why? Why do you have to bring logic into it?
I thought the argument was strictly about looks.... and honestly the only part that looks ‘bad’ is the lower grill.
Someone else may have already posted this, but that is how Ricciardo pronounces his name.
This and the BMW X6 are quite possibly the most hideous vehicles produced in the last 20 - 30 years. But since he likes the Aztek, this is actually a solid recommendation (except for the price tag and MPG).
Silver tends to hide the ugliness well.
‘He’ could be Italian...
Actually, the Accord was not a bad looking car. Definitely not sleep inducing like the Solara.
If he lives in Princeton he’s probably taking NJ Transit into Manhattan...
No. You definitely do not need AWD.
I just finished paying off my 08 Accord coupe manual and, while I will probably part with it at some point, I can see myself driving it for many years to come. At 125k miles, the engine feels like it’s barely broken in.
I love how you end with “end of story”. Who are you? Ian Callum?
Did anyone else read the headline and immediately think Dominic Toretto was behind this, or was it just me?
I guess you’re right. But I wonder if he knew the cage he built wasn’t nearly as safe as a proper roll cage should be.
I know this sounds messed up, and I feel really bad for saying it, but his kids may be better off in this case. What if he took one of them for a ride in that thing?
