This probably has to do with the fact that they’re some of the most reliable vehicles you can buy (new or used)...

The wide spoke design is used to maximize fuel economy. If you look at most hybrids, their wheel designs are not what you’d call exciting :/

I guess this car was truly meh, because I just finished reading the article and the only thing I remember is clam chowder in a bread bowl.

I have not seen Wheelman yet, but if you didn’t like Baby Driver and Fury Road you must not like action movies that much (note I didn’t say car movies, because neither one is truly a car movie).

“This will be the big year for cars, right? The year when they finally can fly, drive themselves, fix our traffic problems and also be fun, beautiful and spirited to drive if we so choose, right?”

Could you guys write a similar article, but focusing on the number of units sold vs. initial estimate / expectations? That would be much more interesting and helpful.

Or the 2000s Thunderbird...

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he misplaced the comma, and he really only wants $1,750 for it. ‘If’ he found the right buyer, he could probably sell it for that much :D

What

It is superior compared to a sedan / coupe / wagon, etc....

You’re missing an important point though. When you’re in a sedan / wagon and you’re surrounded by SUVs, visibility becomes a bit of an issue. It won’t deter me from buying another coupe in the future, but most buyers care more about visibility/safety than about performance.

Well said. I let my car ‘warm up’ for about 30 seconds then I’m off. I drive gently for about 5 minutes while the engine gets up to normal temperature. When it’s really cold, there’s no way that would happen if I just let it idle for 5 minutes. If you want to let the car idle so you’re not cold while you’re driving,

I happen to think you’re underestimating the demand for height. I can’t tell you how many times I heard people say that a higher seating position the main reasons they bought an SUV (usually due to safety concerns).

That’s a really nice color! My car is actually royal blue but it looks a little darker in that picture .

I think Japan is under-represented :P

“And good luck finding a neutral-handling FWD mass-market car.”

I’m not sure if anyone mentioned the Acura ZDX yet, and you may not even be able to find one because very few were sold (it would have to be used), but I think it would check all/most the boxes. Good luck!

If she is a mom who drives her kids to soccer, she’s a soccer mom... yes, stereotyping is bad and there are some people who may use the term in a ‘derogatory’ fashion (not sure how exactly) but there’s nothing wrong with the term ‘soccer mom.’

I have a feeling that the person buying this car won’t care about the ‘old man’ or ‘old lady’ smell because they are themselves an old man / lady.
