I’m going to have to agree with the premise of this article. Of all Ryan Murphy’s work I’ve seen, Scream Queens was the most consistently entertaining. It’s the only Murphy series I ever considered appointment viewing and I’m still disappointed it didn’t get another season.

I agree. He has a history of letting the women in his orbit catch all the strays while he skates through with a clean reputation. I don’t claim to know what went on here, but I’m not inclined to interpret in his favor.

Yeah it’s probably also true that there was pressure involved from the studios.  Hard to keep up that Disney image with a teenage pregnancy.

Was there ever a time more steeped in hypocrisy than the early 2000's? Purity rings and abstinence pledges were everywhere in pop culture. ‘Family Values’ was still the conservative watchword. Meanwhile behind the scenes the people trotted out as the paragons of these values (while still being used to sell sex to

“If it would have been left up to her...”

Unless she’s alleging something very different, IT WAS up to her. She could have told him to pound sand.

Sensible Decision For All Concerned, updates to follow...

Oh, it’s clear Jada and her Whipped Spouse care very much what people think. Why else write books, run to friendly interviews or podcasts and finally pen fawning, open letters stroking each other’s egos?

Even the most powerful microscope in the world would not be able to find the violin tiny enough to express my utter apathy towards these people.

“Every word they say about each other is made into its own headline, pulled apart and dissected until it becomes incomprehensible, like staring at a painting too long until it becomes a blur of colors instead of a picture.”

That’s a good point! The key difference being that by all accounts Danny DeVito is a wonderful human being who is a) game for anything b) people like working with.

While Chevy very much isn’t either.

Saloni are you okay? You didn’t turn this into a slide show.

It was kind of cool having him on the show at the beginning, but Chevy Chase really was the weakest actor on the whole show. His performance style was so hammy. The only time it was decent was when he really leaned in to the villain stuff. Everything else was basically him indicating to the audience where the joke

Yeah, they decided on this when the three guys go out to get Blair in the shed, they realize he/the thing has escaped. MacReady says something like “none of us are getting out of here alive” and “it wants to freeze so a rescue team will find it”. That’s when they decide to try to burn the thing up by torching the

Yeah, that’s what I’ve always thought too, although I do like the idea that The Thing is already dead and they’re both just suiciding out of pure paranoia. I’ve never even heard the eye thing before.

And the brilliance of the movie is that your interpretation is one of several completely consistent with what has been shown.

“At first I thought it would try to kill me and take over my body, but it turns out it just wants to mooch beer and tacos, which is why Russell is no longer invited to game night.”

“I know who the Thing is, because that film was a documentary. And that’s why the entity that’s claiming to be Kurt Russell is no longer welcome in my house.”

You’ve written a comment, and are therefore technically an author, and are now on my to-do list.

For the record, I’m a fan of the theory that might honestly be the darkest, which is that both of them are completely human... but because of the reasonable paranoia of what they just went through, they’ll never, ever know that, and so they’ll just freeze to death.

As far as I know it’s a one-episode appearance, but I might be wrong.
