My best friend’s older brother bought a new 383 Road Runner in ‘67 or so. As a 15 year old I’d never been in a car with such a Spartan interior. 3 Speed (or 4 speed?) stick about a foot long on the floor. Burned a lot of rubber, even up the freeway ramp. This is 50 years later.

Too bad my Fiat 500e can’t do the reverse.

Is there any gas powered car that’s faster than a Tesla in the quarter? Nope. Tesla’s first try at it. They make a minivan that’s as fast as this Chryco box.

I remember building electric cars (1/24th scale) and trying to build a go kart. By comparison, electrics are easy to make. At age 10 or so, we had a club and were adding a small voltage ‘reverse’ circuit to the top winding of the controllers, to stop the cars from flying into the wall. Copper tubing ‘bird cage’
