I feel like Ilana is probably not totally cool with it (hence the initial reaction) but on the other hand, she hooks up with other people constantly so she probably can't quite say it.

The dinner order runner was such a good way to not only keep this episode funny but just to keep it realistic. Totally seemed like something a family would do to try to lighten the mood in a tense situation.

Comparing this to embarrassing "very special episodes" is pretty insulting. This was still a really funny episode of TV that happened to deal with some very relevant and sensitive subjects. Black-ish has distinguished itself by recalling some great shows of the past that deal with modern, touchy topics without losing

Not sure what the state to state specifics are but I've worked several retail jobs and Cloud 9's anti-union propaganda is almost identical to ones I've seen. (I'm in New Jersey, for what it's worth.)

Awesome! Really excited to see where they go in S2!

This show is actually pretty good guys! Watch it!

It was renewed before S1 was even released.

I'd agree, but I don't think it's that far off from early Office/Parks & Rec in terms of quality.

It's on NBC, and all of the episodes are on Hulu (except the one that aired tonight obviously.)

It's NBC's first sitcom in literally years that actually has a ratings pulse. I would be really surprised if it isn't renewed.

Yeah, it's all on Hulu. I would recommend it! The first few episodes are a bit slow, but it starts to pick up around the halfway point, and "All-Nighter" (episode 9) is a genuinely great episode of television.

It gets compared to The Office more than anything but I really do feel some early Community here. I'm talking really early Community…like, the first 6 episodes, before it discovered its weirdness and took off. It has a similar "band of misfits forming an unlikely family" vibe, and there's also a similar undercurrent

I especially love the transition shots of customers doing ridiculous things, some of which are near exact mirrors of things I've actually seen working retail.

I'm so glad there's finally a Superstore review here!

Yeah, definitely. If they had just gotten to the point with them faster there could've been time to dedicate to other characters.

Yeah, that is maybe the best little trick the show pulled off. In the pilot you think "wow, what a monster!" and then by the end you're like "how did she put up with him for as long as she did?!"

Gretchen's apartment was pretty shitty, but how Jimmy got such a nice house is sort of a mystery, yes.

This is very well said. I know You're the Worst and Love are different shows but it's just so hard not to compare them when YtW does just about everything Love tries to do 10x better. Some more points:

Yeah, if Mickey was the only one it'd be less of a huge deal but come on, this goofy looking, supposedly awkward guy is just going to walk his way into a threesome with two model-hot girls?
