Ehhh there's barely less traffic here, and the lack of public transportation means you're always stuck in it.

I enjoy this show but there is something about it that keeps me from fully connecting with and I think it's that no one on it really seems to like each other very much, or…really, even tolerate each other. I mean, that's not an inherently bad thing and it's probably pretty accurate for a group of people only together…
I feel like Fargo Season 2 is better than Fargo Season 1 but I also feel like it's more overrated than Fargo Season 1? Like, the reaction to S1 was basically "wow, this is actually very good!". Which is basically still my reaction to S2, and yet this season is getting all kinds of BEST SHOW ON TV accolades that I'm…
Ughhhh. Fuck FOX and the NFL. And it's way too early for a Christmas episode!
Season 2 of Parks & Rec was fantastic and I am tired of people revising history to pretend it wasn't just because they hate Mark.
I saw him in October! He was great.
I love how Americans in Doctor Who are almost always gun-wielding nutjobs. It's not inaccurate!
Clara in Asylum of the Daleks was a much better character than Clara of 7B, and I think the Clara we've seen with Capaldi has a lot of shades of her. I kind of think that was intentional.
I think Clara of S9 is fine and makes sense as a progression of the character. My main problem is that she really hasn't had much to do this season. It increasingly feels like her story ended with Last Christmas and they're just waiting out the clock with her this year. Look how many episodes this season have other…
2.0 and 3.0 seems like a fairly natural progression to me. I just sort of accept that S8 completely rebooted Clara because it's obvious that's really what happened. Still, the inconsistency has definitely put a damper on her as a character and while I like Clara and think she's had some great moments, she is…
I was trying to figure out which one it is because they all kinda look the same. Is it the one in Astoria near Ditmars?
Noel Wells seems poised to join the weirdly huge list of female cast members that SNL had no idea what to do with but who went on to appear in great things after the show (Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Janene Garofalo, Sarah Silverman, Casey Wilson, Micheala Watkins, Jenny Slate….)
I would say Kimmy Schmidt and BoJack feel like they wouldn't be that different if they were on regular TV (makes sense for Kimmy, obviously.) This feels like the most uniquely "Netflix" comedy. (I still love the shit out of Kimmy Schmidt and BoJack, though, of course.)
I don't see anything schizo about Gretchen's behavior. I could maybe see if when she kidnapped Sandwiches she actually believed she was turning into Lexi or something…but she seemed pretty aware of what she was doing, which would prevent it from being a symptom of schizophrenia, no?
I think the entire NBC line-up of the late 00s/early 10s (Parks & Rec, Community The Office and 30 Rock) deserves to be up there. You can argue that some of them lost their luster by the end, but at their peak they were all forces and I think their experimentation with the form led to a lot of the boom of great niche…
Legit never quite made a splash critically though, which is probably why it got canned. YTW has definitely become a critical darling, so hopefully that will help its case.
You're the Worst just feels like a comedy at its core to me in a way OITNB doesn't. Even when it gets heavy, there's a sense of "okay, this is a sitcom so let's make them laugh a little" that isn't there in OITNB or even a half-hour dramedy like Transparent.
The president of FX said recently that they base renewals based on ratings, critical acclaim and fan support, and if a show has 2 of the 3, it gets renewed. (Or something like that.) YTW definitely has the critical and fan support so if it still gets cancelled then that dude's a fucking liar.
That and Bo Burnham's "what" are my favorite stand-up specials of the past few years.
"For tele-vision?"
