Yeah, it makes this season have way more of an arc than S4 and S5. Honestly, this was SO fucking good. I'm so happy.

This episode honestly makes me like S6 more in retrospect I think. A lot of characters beats "clicked" with this episode.
Um, I like…really fucking loved that. Like, that was the perfect series finale for this show. And I'm calling it the series finale because it's really obvious everyone involved knew this would be the last episode. It was like a Surprise Series Finale. And it was perfect.
I'm staying up for it for the first time all season. It's feeling like the excitement of a series finale for me, even though it's not officially.
It's so good!
S6 hasn't had too many stand-out episodes but it's been at a consistent B+ level or so for me, with some episodes rising above that level. To me, it feels like the show finally found another gear to operate on smoothly after the turmoil of Seasons 4/5.
It's hard to say for sure because the last time the cast was fully intact was Season 4, which obviously had its own problems.
Ughhh, I agree but I really hope not. Just get everyone on board for the movie and that's that. I do think an AD Season 4-style would be a good idea for a final season leading into a movie, though (but a movie that's actually, like, going to happen.)
I would say Bondage and App Development came close (and Modern Espionage, as well.) It does kind of feel like Harmon's mode shifted more towards "fuck it!" after his departure though. The last four episodes of Season 5 had a really "eh, what the hell?" feel to them that has carried over into S6 (although I think S6 is…
1. Toy Story 3
2. Up
3. Toy Story 2
4. WALL-E
5. Toy Story
6. Finding Nemo
7. Ratatouille
8. Monsters Inc
9. The Incredibles
10. Brave
11. A Bug's Life
12. Monsters University
13. Cars
14. Cars 2
I more or less agree with this. Season 5 had more episodes that I'd rank as the show operating at its best (Cooperative Polygraphy, Geothermal Escapism, Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality, App Development) but the way it totally fell apart at the end and abandoned its initial promise was really disheartening. Season 6…
Actually, I would really love to get a final, mini 7th season (maybe 7-10 episodes) that's along these lines, leading up to the movie. Something like this seems like the show's only real shot at getting another TV season. It'd allow the cast to basically move on since it wouldn't be a full season for them…
It's been getting really positive reviews so far. A lot more positive than the early reception for Brave and Monsters U. (Cars 2 does not exist.)
They make it work! For real!
In the early seasons, Joan was intent on following a very specific life path. Greg offered her that life path, and she seemed to figure that, even though he was kind of a douche, he might be her only shot at following the typical "marriage, baby, family" life she was told she had to lead. I don't think it's too…
It took a while to sit with me, but I am at the point where I can say I loved it. It wasn't 100% perfect (I could've done with way less Stephanie, or maybe no Stephanie at all) but it was a super fitting end to the show, and I like where everyone's characters ended up. They all ended at points that feel natural and…
I'm hoping that since the show has a natural endpoint that is rapidly approaching (the end of Piper's sentence), it won't pull a Weeds. Plus, I'd hope the Netflix model would allow shows to bow out more quickly than the network/cable model does. But I guess we'll see! Ending shows is still uncharted territory in…
OITNB is the only streaming show that feels *huge* to me though. But I guess twist-wise, HOC is one that could pull off a memorable ending.
That's true. I guess we have a few years until any of the (relevant) streaming shows reach that point. Seems like OITNB would probably be the show that would draw the most attention for its finale (assuming it doesn't run for years past its sell by date.)
All of the Mad Men finale hype has me wondering, how will streaming shows handle series finales? Releasing it as the end of a binge would totally kill all of the hype that typically comes with a finale. I wonder if they'd try to "eventize" it and drop it as its own thing.
