I think Community would really like to go "they won't" with Jeff and Annie but they're afraid of losing the shippers. Hopefully now that they don't have to care about ratings, they'll put their foot down.

Aw, come on, Parks & Rec and Community fired on all cylinders way before those episodes. Debate 109! Practice Date! Comparative Religion! Ron and Tammy! The Camel! Romantic Expressionism! Contemporary American Poultry!

This one was a LOT better. It had some great jokes and a pretty coherent story. I mean, that's not super high praise and the show is still kind of a mess but I could actually see it becoming a good show now, although it still has a a lot to work out.

It's really satisfying watching all of the relationships that developed gradually over the course of S1 coming out to play in full force now. It's still early to call this another example of the standard Amazing Second Season (see also: 30 Rock, Community, New Girl ect), but this show is really doing everything right

She seems like a prime candidate to return for the movie, assuming that happens.

I started watching classic Simpsons a few years ago because of the huge love it gets all over the internet. I fully believe the classic episodes are far better than the new ones. So no, it's not all "childhood nostalgia" because the classic episodes predate the age where I started watching the show. The golden years

Black-ish is pretty good so far, but why does every ABC comedy feel the need to have narration? It's probably my least favorite single-cam crutch.

The lack of love for "Hard Ball" is making me sad. Pregnant cornbread, Rachel Dratch's best character (oooh, Satanists, that's even better), "I'm voting for Osama in 2008", "the crab is getting aroused, shut it down", Jenna's America song….it's a wild ride.

Yeah, Dave Returns was the first time I felt a "something is off" vibe with Parks and it continued into S5 & 6.

I've been watching some early Parks and a) I forgot how much I love(d) this show and b) why the hell did the show re-write Officer Dave into a creepy dick when they brought him back? He was such a good character in these episodes and they totally ruined him.

Maybe she wasn't as innocent as previously assumed but I still think assuming she was a prostitute is pretty damn racist.

It's not a tough timeslot technically, but NBC has always struggled there. The most recent three occupants: Revolution, Whitney, and Animal Practice.

It should've been Cecily and Michael. Jost is wallpaper. Cecily wasn't great but was showing major improvement by the end of the season.

How are Seinfeld and Mary Tyler Moore Show romcoms in any sense of the word? Maybe they have occasionally romance-based stories but the premise of the show was absolutely not about two people falling in love…like, at all.

I guess it's really all subjective but I just don't think of Cheers as a romcom. I see it as an ensemble comedy with romantic plotlines. The Nanny is closer to one, but it's still not the main premise of the show in the way it is with the films you mentioned.

What Sonia is talking about is a show that is specifically a romantic comedy and not really anything else. With Cheers and The Nanny, the romcom aspects were just a fraction of what the series was about. And the other shows you mentioned are shows about an ongoing marriage which is a totally different category than

If there is one episode that perfectly showcases all of the problems I have with Ben and Leslie, it's Dave Returns. When they brought back Dave and randomly turned him into a creepy asshole just to make Ben/Leslie look more awesome was the moment I knew these characters were going in a direction I didn't like. I don't

The supporting cast in A to Z almost entirely existed in the pilot to support the narrative of the two leads getting together. I would imagine if the show ran for an extended period of time (it probably won't) we would eventually get episodes more about them, but to me the pilot of A to Z was more of a clear start of

Eh, it's not as bad as you would think it would be based on the premise. I could actually see it becoming a good show. The pilot was just kind of average and uninspired rather than "offensively terrible".

She used the term "TV OCD" so therefore she is dumb and will not like Community.
