After mostly disregarding continuity in Seasons 1-3, it's interesting how much this season is tying together to something that's pretty damn close to actual serialization. And that goes beyond the multi-part episodes - we get a direct callback to the premiere with the doctor, the material between Louie and his ex-wife

It was still a pretty dickish comment considering Peggy is obviously not dumb at all, and shows how he feels the need to degrade any woman who he feels shows any signs of overpowering him.

Apparently I'm a "hot magician"???

It's incredibly rare to get a scene on this show where a character isn't putting on some kind of a mask or guard to conceal themselves. That's why scenes like My Way (and the entirety of The Suitcase) are so thrilling to watch, and Don/Peggy is the only pairing that really gives us those moments. (Maybe Don/Sally

At least with Breaking Bad they were able to make both parts of Season 5 two separate seasons. Gliding Over All genuinely feels like a finale. I don't get the sense we're going for that with Mad Men (and I wouldn't expect us to - it takes more than 7 episodes to make a good season of this show).

The description for last seasons' finale was literally just "Don has struggles".

There was his condescending "are you dumber than Peggy?" line to Pete when he got involved in the Don/Ted pissing match last season.

I liked that the show actually acknowledged the stakes of its plot in this episode. Lots of animated shows do big, action-y episodes but typically they cram them with jokes to keep from actually digging into the danger of the situation. The fact that this did felt very in line with the shows' world, so that was nice.

But it doesn't matter. When Bob's Burgers *does* air, it'll have an NFL lead-in, thus big ratings.

People are freaking out because The Cleveland Show got cancelled in the 7:30 slot, but they're neglecting to remember that shows like King of the Hill and American Dad ran for years in the 7:00 hour.

Yeah, the show really fell apart after Meyers left for whatever reason. I would say the back half of this season is on par with the 09-10 season for the worst of the past decade. The only episode I really thought was worth anything was the Andrew Garfield one (which somehow got the worst grade here).

I'm not sure but I think I saw John Oliver in Central Park today. And I was wearing a Community shirt that he may or may not have seen!

Do you like UCB? I'm planning on starting there next year.

I like how the Galavant fan account is 50% Galavant RTs, 50% completely random RTs. In other news, it is my favorite Twitter account of all time.

Yeah, I don't necessarily want a half-assed S6. I want a *better* ending than what we got.

Yeah, Suburgatory's ratings really weren't all that bad. It really just looks like ABC didn't like the show very much. And since they picked up Emily Kapnek's new show I guess they didn't feel the need to appease her by renewing this one.

Yeah, I'm guessing Suburgatory is dead. I still think that shows' demise is kind of weird because the ratings aren't all that bad, but I guess ABC just hates it and it doesn't have the support to continue elsewhere.

I'm completely serious when I say Galavant is the show I'm looking forward to the most next year.

Depends on if I decide to catch up on Sleepy Hollow over the summer. Otherwise, nothing.
