With the increasing number of storyline differences between the book and TV series, it’ll be interesting if HBO’s GoT will have a “better” (or at least more well-received) ending than Martin’s.

In the Hugos is there any guidance that by voting in a category one is acknowledging that she or he has read/seen/watched those nominees. Not saying that it’s a requirement (although even if it was, it would be tough to enforce) but sort of an accepted “gentlemen’s agreement”?

I’m pretty sure “dealing with a villain in a single episode” wasn’t the main problem with Gotham that needed to be reworked.

I’d much rather rewatch Alien 3 or 4 than see Chappie or Elysium again.

It’s a little depressing that after Chappie and Elysium I’m not as excited about a Blomkamp Aliens movie as I would have been right after District 9 came out. Hopefully (if it ever gets made) Blomkamp will be able to recapture some of the energy of D9 in his Aliens flick.

He was in the first Predator movie, so maybe it has a great deal of nostalgia for him? As a writer he’s probably been kicking around ideas in his head for years tied to the first major movie he acted in.
