I’m a little confused: the pic shows a tube pan cake, but the recipe calls for an 8" square pan.

When my daughter was in high school I was afraid she would not know how to cook when she was on her own. So I created a ring bound book with cards that can be removed from the photo type inserts. It has 3D scrapbook decals and is pretty cool.  But I look back on the recipes from 12-15 years ago and I’m appalled. 

I use kind of a modified envelope system: 3 separate checking accounts with debit cards. One is for my rent, one is for bills and groceries and the remaining one is for ‘fun money’, for things like movies, coffee shops and restaurants. 

Yep-a fact that I kind of knew when presented with the hamster babies. A quick google search confirmed it and boy did they go to the pet store fast!

Once when my eldest lost her first tooth she asked me what the tooth fairy does with all the teeth she collects. I told her they were re-used in new babies. Which grossed the girl out to no end.

Oh Man have I got a doozy! When my girls were 5 & 9 they had 2 white hamsters they kept in their bedroom, in a cage with a plastic tunnel on the side. My youngest was (unbeknownst to me) allergic to the cedar chip bedding so she had developed a bit of a wheeze that would get worse at night. We had a cat named Buddy…

My girls’ daycare did that-she had 5 kids under school age and she’d line all their jackets up on the floor and WOOP they were done! 

YES! My cat lays near my head while I’m falling asleep and purrs. So relaxing 

I bring my Aeropress and a bag of ground coffee. And a small paring knife. Which I invariably leave behind. 

Peanut butter and almond butter are cheaper to make than to buy. It won’t be (at least mine never is) as smooth as Skippy or Jiff but it also won’t have the added sugar and miscellaneous chemicals

About every six months I fill my tea kettle with vinegar and let it soak for a few hours. Scale comes right off!

My boss swears by a tablespoon of ACV with ‘the mother’ in water before bedtime. It makes her sleep better. I dunno.
