Exactly. So much hype over that Lincoln and when the production version appeared it seemed like a warmed over Taurus.

Cadillac has been doing the tweener sizes for a while now. Everyone says the CTS is 5-series fighter, but I’ve always found it to be between a 3 and a 5, at least in older generations.

The CT6 seems endlessly more compelling than the new Continental.

And bravo on the weight, Cadillac.

I’ve twice now had people get out of their car and approach me. In both cases, the other driver cut me off and I, admittedly, was intentionally heavy-handed and annoying with the horn. The first time I was cut off in a 2-lane, empty traffic circle. I let the guy get out and walk towards my car, and once he got to my

You speak as if Clarkson, Hammond and May were the original cast...

Split hairs all you like. It’s a transmission that shifts itself. The lack of a torque converter is irrelevant.

We can all sing the praises of the PDK... but at the end of the day there is no third pedal and no gear lever to change gears. In design it may a split between a manual and automatic, but in use it is an automatic transmission that you can control manually.

Oh christ... there is not. Yes, the PDK is the best automatic out there, but a 2-pedal car is a 2-pedal car.

Same here. Porsche’s “al la carte” options style makes this more the norm, I think.

You either live in magical place where everyone has taste, or you’re overestimating how many of those cars are manual. My local Porsche dealer currently has new inventory of 9 911s, 7 Boxsters and 2 Caymans. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is an automatic.

When people are spending that much coin on a ride, they probably already have something older and special and manual in the garage for the days they want it. I’m a full-on save-the-manuals supporter, but if my garage already had a classic 60's sports car in it, I’d probably not feel so bad about my daily being an auto.

I hate to agree, but I agree!

ZOMG!!!1!!11! THERE’S ONLY LIKE AN INCH OF SNOW AND HE’S SLIDING ALL OVER THE PLACE LIKE IT’S DC! HE MUST BE A TERRIBLE DRIVER!!!

No snow in the desert LOLZ

Seriously. I’ve done an 850 and 950 mile day back to back on a Ducati Monster. I couldn’t imagine going for a third.

I’ve had to stop because I thought I was running over dead cats and big inflatable hammers laying on the interstate.

I’m glad there are others who can take a minute to put the self-righteousness aside and realize this. I live the North East. We don’t set any records, here, but it gets plenty cold and plenty of snow. We still have lots of folks who have no idea what they’re doing, but for the most part we’re okay... usually... The

These things are so damned pretty...

Just playing devil’s advocate, but for the overwhelming majority of the time, when another car is involved it’s usually that car’s fault. I’m not saying always, but usually this is the case.
