I always hear about the quality of American cars being absolute crap in the late 70's/early 80's. What I have to wonder is, before 1973, when that “optimism” was alive for brawny cars, even back in 1959 with Cadillac’s standard-of-the-world luxury - were those cars equally as crappy? Were people just jaded/oblivious

It looks pretty good, but that little |X| thing they have going on with the taillights, like the Renegade has, looks incredibly tacky. I’d gladly stick with the current trailer park ones they have.

Don’t you mean “Dats all”?

I had a friend who did this, except he would put it in neutral - claimed there would be less spinning stress on the transmission when stopped for the period of time. Thoughts/calls-of-bullshit?

I know, it’s my favorite El Camino :)

This just.. I don’t, just.. I... ahahhh.. aHHAHGHAGHHHGAHH

I know Ralph Gilles had a big play in this current iteration’s styling (“like a man staring you in the face poking you in the chest”, apparently). Is he still pretty involved? He has good taste!

Can confirm!

Man, the latest JK Wrangler looks pretty porky compared to the TJ

I’m a huge fan of my RWD baby. It’s a boat in turns, so tight turning pretty much involves slowing it down and pointing the nose where you want it to go.. but the fact that it’s RWD makes that a pretty painless effort when you mentally think about pivoting on the rear wheels.

I don’t think you understood his post/read it correctly.

Agreed! I have a 10 in. subwoofer in mine, and there’s still room for a few carriers.

Holy crap this is pretty eerie!

This is my favorite heartwarming story on this post man. Cheers!

I laughed so hard at this response haha

That girl on the left, bahaha

Happy Friday!

“Le.. Eco?” What a boring, 2010s, “cool” (but not) sort of name. That’s the part that kills me.

For some odd reason, this looks very vintage. Did anyone else notice/gain that?

Hmm.. “Cracker” Jack MacSwagbag doesn’t sound like Tug Temuro to me.
