It does matter, the main selling point of a Tesla is the fact that it is a BEV. You can’t uncouple the fact that it is a BEV from the price. You are paying for the technology. Tesla does not sell luxury, they sell technology.
You are comparing an ICE vehicle with a BEV, the cost is in the batteries and electronics. If Mercedes could sell an E-Class with 250+ miles of range for $55k, they would. You’re going to honestly try to say that Tesla should just sell at a loss? Come on.
You keep saying this, but if another manufacturer could sell an equivalent product for 50% less, they would.
I have only seen a few here (I see lots of new Turbos and other high-dollar 911s. CA, so you’d think this would be a pretty high-priority market.). I think Mercedes must be trying to keep them somewhat exclusive? That’s the only reason I can find for seeing so few of them, they are absolutely gorgeous in person.
Eh, it’s iffy, Texas does pull from the South somewhat, but it’s always been it’s own little mixing pot. They did join the Confederacy and allowed slavery, so I do think that that had some influence on policy and culture in the state. Though Mexico has also long been a pretty big influence on the culture of Texas, as…
They were riffing on your comment by mentioning the South, whose most recent outdated actions have been the passing of bullshit “religious liberty” bills. I don’t think it was a huge jump for me to assume that this was why they framed your comment as such.
But this is Mulholland Highway.
Mulholland Highway, not drive, Mulholland Drive is a separate (non-attached, at least not for cars) section closer to Downtown.
I don’t think they are commenting on aggression, more likely they are commenting on the extremely regressive anti-LGBT legislation being promoted in the South.
There are less than 100 stores in the US. Even if we interpret this as 300 people per store at open (let’s go with an average of 500 reservations per store, today), that only comes out to 30,000 (50,000 for the day). Let’s say they get 100,000 reservations today (I don’t know how many they are expecting) and go with a…
I didn’t say they are only in wealthy areas, just that I don’t know of any that are in a poor area.
lol, I don’t think there are many Trader Joe’s in poor areas, at least not in California. Yeah, some of their stuff is cheap, except for the produce (which I usually don’t buy from there because I prefer the store by my house). Most of their items are of high quality, especially relative to price (they source…
I love the fact that Trader Joe’s and Aldi were owned by brothers (not founded, though), who split the parent company (Aldi) into two parts (Nord and Süd) over a disagreement about whether or not to sell cigarettes. In Europe, both companies operate (under the names Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd). In the US, Aldi Nord…
The mochi ice cream that TJ’s sells is made by Mikawaya, the inventors of mochi ice cream.
Is nobody going to mention that the original gif in this thread is of Michael Jordan?! I don’t even think Ovdanyakad realizes it wasn’t Shaq.
Galibier*.
Looks like a truck owned by a taco restaurant, but not a taco truck.
Yeah, what a moran!
They had two leading the Rose Parade this year.
