I’ve managed to live in n.e. Ohio driving *almost* nothing but RWD vehicles for the last 40 years, IMHO AWD is a crutch for piss poor drivers.

Years ago I had an ‘85 Tempo winter beater that was a “Reasonably functional automobile” and I only paid $80 for it.

On one hand $4,800.00 is “Why not?” money but on the other hand there’s a salvage title and 161k miles. Also, did that year have cylinder deactivation and if so I’d be wary about that failing. CP.
