You're bang on. The films are still more or less enjoyable due to a fantastic cast and terrific creation of the world. They're flawed as films in undeniable ways, yet do not AMD cannot exist without the books.

It wasn't a great movie and the graphic novels don't hold up. I can look past the shitty gender politics and I enjoy them a little bit, but I once read like five of the trades in a row and I was just bored and numb. Miller doesn't have anything different to say or do.

Well, the music is great, but YMMV.

This is strictly my opinion, as somebody who truly enjoys the HP books but is able to be critical of them (Order of the Phoenix is, at minimum, 200 pages too long), and has seen all the films… the films aren't really very good.

    THIS IS A THING WHAT.

    Right on!

As good as the first two seasons of Justice League are, the 1st season of JLI with the Cadmus arc is just astounding.

I think it's fair to say it's about larger debates about gun control and whatnot, but yeah, i did a double-take when I read that bit as well.

Oh, and Tony's smug fucking expression with the "that was number forty-three."

As much as I hate the Civil War event in the comics (I adore Brubaker's Cap run; I will never buy the trade for Civil War to accompany it)…

    I love those costumes. Also.

    I'm sad 'cause I'm flying.

Awesome part is even 20 years later, Narvey and Schrier (sp) actually look really good, and could probably get away with it. So they won't, of course, but hey.

I have a couple issues with that episode, nothing breaking, but bats in the flashback with ace is phenomenal.

Okay, so, I'm kind of curious to check the show back out, but these reviews are not super wonderful to read (they're unclear and nitpicky and, well, boring).

Not a bad interview, but I'm finding this entire feature to simply be unfunny and pointlessly, uh, hatefilled. Which IS the point, but it's not a very good or fun article concept.

Don't worry about Sava's pretentious reviews. I enjoyed the show and season. Who cares what individual episodes get for letter grades?

you, uh, might want to read his autobio or some stuff on brock. he's cool, I mean, I dig his way of life, but he's definitely kind of a jackass.

It's up there with Kevin Smith writing Joker to offer Onamatshuthtefuckup anal sex.

THIS KID'S SHOW DOES NOT MEET MY HIGH GROWN UP STANDARDS OF FILMMAKING.
