I’m so sorry.
I’m so sorry.
Hey, maybe candidates for president should have to go through background checks? Why not? Or maybe why haven’t we done this all along? Forget the goddam tax return, do a full on background check. It total sense to me.
I hope the Rockettes perform in white pantsuits. I’m not sure even he could miss that.
Speaking of Bush, Trump, and respect—or lack thereof—for American intelligence agencies, here’s a former CIA analyst who’d agree with you:
Seriously. Many many years ago a childhood friend and I were sharing an apartment and got a bizarro phone call from those 3 Letter Guys about another childhood friend of ours. They wanted to come over and talk. We thought something awful had happened, but it turned out, “Oh, no, he’s an applicant for a job, but that’s…
^^ THIS. “My guy” lost the first election in which I voted, 1988, to GHWB. Then of course my guy lost again in 2000, to GWB. And of course there have been local and state elections lost....and of course I was disappointed and concerned about women’s choice, etc. But I never felt that the winning candidate was…
Close friend working in IC is mortified. He says war is imminent
I have a career military family member who has previously been super conservative. He voted for Hillary bc even he can see Trump is cray (and as an upper middle management guy, he does not have a good opinion of so many recently retired military guys in the cabinet) and I would LOVE to hear his take on this treatment…
I heard “Twitler” today.
I prefer Deuce Drumph myself.
I can wait for the frog march prep walk. Also federal prison inmates are not allowed fancy haircuts or toupes.
I can only hope that the CIA is actually planning on embarrassing him for his behavior. Not deadly embarrassment, but something clever and humiliating.
All of those work. I think we can mix it up as the mood hits. Sometimes we could say, “the Toupee’d Traitor” . . other times, “the Tweeting Terror” or “The Mendacious Maggot” . . really, the only limit is your creativity. We will know who you mean.
Exactly, I worked for USAF. 2 of my very qualified peers were denied clearance due to financial history and minor recreational drug use. It takes approximately 6 months these days to get a low level, TS is about a year.
I’d like to add, I’m not talking about the agency heads like Comey. I’m talking about Joe and Sally analyst. The average people that busted their asses to get CS and engineering degrees (and others) that joined the IC because they believed they could make a difference and now spend 8 hours a day tracking down child…
Let me clarify. Any coverage of him should be critical. If it’s the kind of magazine that does not do critical coverage, then they should ignore him and not legitimize his brand of behavior by giving him a platform.
I agree. Subtle doesn’t work for Trump. Even straightforward clear talk doesn’t work. Literally nothing exists that matters more to him than what is already in his head. You couldn’t get a new idea into it with a sledgehammer and chisel. (Although I’d like to try.)
I’ve never seen more people with lower morale. Our jaws are on the floor at the level of disrespect and outright ignorance of the man who will be in charge. I disagreed with Bush but NEVER questioned his intentions. Trump is so beyond that. This man would never in his life pass a background check and has ZERO…
Whozzat? Cheeto Voldemort? Trumplestiltskin? Short-fingered Vulgarian? Ronald McDonaldTrump? Please be more specific.
I, myself, am calling him “Cheeto Voldemort” for the duration.
