i just met 'shameless' two weeks ago, and i thought the first season was pretty damned funny. then i tried to dive in to the fifth, and i didn't know who half those people were, so i've put it on hold until i get caught up.

except that the awards are pointless to watch. i don't need to see that. i need to see the shows. if one show sweeps the whole thing, then that ought to serve notice to all the other shows that maybe they should quit sucking so much (or if the ratings are there, then keep doing what they do, because most of this crap
