Honestly, I’d be very surprised if they weren’t. That’s my country: It would take quite a bit to convince me it wasn’t a retaliatory hit by the cops.

The whole idea is ugly. An ugly image in the service of an interesting, contrarian message is cool.....but their message is unclear. They aren’t saying anything meaningful, and its pretty clear they didn’t at all think about what they were really “saying,” as was well-demonstrated by other commenters.
