They don’t actually know what they want.  Most of the people who hate on SNL have ridiculous expectations.  It’s like Star Wars.  Nothing will ever be good enough but they’ll still be there, watching every show (movie).

This part of WU really surprised me. SNL is supposed to take the piss out of big business, not blindly support them like Jost’s segment. If I didn’t know any better I’d think there were higher-ups at NBC or Comcast that had business ties with Amazon...

I’m consistently perplexed as to what exactly the reviewer wants out of Weekend Update. Because it seems like they just want people to recap the dangerous situation the nation is in without all these goshdarned jokes to prevent everyone from grasping the gravity of the situation.
