The Tacoma annoys me. I own a small 1996 Tacoma. When they first came out they were so cool looking and fun. That was then. But now? They are so ancient and stagnant. Awful fuel economy, piss poor acceleration, insanely expensive. Save for the reliability there is nothing redeeming about them.

Throughout the interior there are a whole lot of plastics, but instead of trying to hide them away, Hyundai decided to highlight them. In fact, a Hyundai designer said the automaker was trying to “celebrate” plastics inside the car. It mostly works.

I have a 1996 model. They were not changed much. Mine was the very first variation and has glass sealed beams. I believe in 1998 or something they started using plastic lenses. So far I have around 300,000 on it and its no big deal. These will easily go 500k

I really like weird little cars. Hence I drive the small, pizza delivery sized Tacoma. This thing is great. Very nice price.
