Sorry, but this whole situation is ridiculous.

And aren’t grips, stagehands and rest of the support crew and such all union? Seems weird to me you could fire a dozen union guys with no repercussions at the time.
Not that making violent/disturbing stuff makes you a bad person, but gee it sure is a surprise that a show so obsessed with women suffering had a DOP that’s kind of a creep.
I liked him! And co-sign on the kudos to Keston John for his performances this season. I thought a nice payoff for W-H would’ve been us seeing him choose his own name.
I always recommend not skipping intros, but this time there’s an incentive. They change as allegiances shift.
Apparently we have not suffered enough in the eyes of 2020. Not looking forward to the rest of the year.
I wish we go a little better explanation of show’s mythology - how magic worked and where She-Ra came from since the whole she’s a spirit of Etheria but only the invading First Ones can be her was a bit confusing. It would also help if we got history and timeline of Etheria’s people, First Ones and Horde Empire.
I like how the image announcing Snyder’s version has all the colour sucked out of it. Seems apt.
I also miss burdened-by-the-weight-of-her-responsibilities 11-year-old-sovereign Frosta we meet in “Princess Prom.” I mean, I get that the point of her is that she’s drawn out and allowed to be a little kid by all of these peer interactions, but I would have liked to see her put the mask back on, possibly while…
This whole time Zack’s claimed that the movie was done and actually exists, but today says “we still have some work to do” before the movie comes out... NEXT year. This is truly the Chinese Democracy of superhero movies.
I mentioned this in a previous article but I think it’s worth repeating: I do not like how the show so quickly smoothed over Catra’s toxicity. She hurt people, a lot. And this season made it clear that one of the main reasons Catra was lashing out as she did was because she was ‘in love’ with Adora and couldn’t stand…
The miniseries set the bar with Blue Oyster Cult. Massive disappointment if we don’t get cowbells in this series.
I’m a serious fan of all things in the post-apocalypse genre, but I’m not reading any of it right now, mostly because pandemic.
Someone watched Rise of Skywalker and was like, “Nope... NOPENOPENOPE!!!!”
I realize this is because of my own personal projections and such, but I related to the Catra and Adora stuff from the last seasons from getting out of a Bad relationship, and read it as like “it’s OK to escape toxic people to save yourself” because that’s a theme that deeply resonates with me obviously. So for this…
I don’t think for a second that Catra and Adora’s relationship was played for the titillation of an adult male audience, but I DO think that’s it’s potentially easier for a showrunner to convince studio executives to allow two prominent female characters to get together than 2 prominent male characters. And I’m afraid…
She-Ra also had gay male representation in Bow’s dads and non-binary representation in Double Trouble.
“More shows and films are embracing queer characters and relationships, especially in animation. There was the moment The Legend of Korra ended with Korra and Asami, hand in hand, walking away together toward their new life. Then, of course, there’s Steven Universe, which has paved the way in LGBTQ representation…
