Why is this a selling point?

I still don’t really understand why they’re making this movie...

I mean, I see what you’re talking about and am just as critical of the cops in real life as you probably are. However, taking an anti-cop stance for Spider-Man would be a new narrative on the character and perhaps not one that’d be especially welcomed by many. While all superheroes are, in a sense, vigilantes who work

I expect some MCU characters will pass on the mantle. I could see either Bucky or Sam becoming Captain America after Cap (probably) dies. Both have been so in the comics (though since Bucky is powered and Sam is not, I think Bucky is a better choice).

Why Maria Rambeau and not Monica??

Huh. So the white guy who tried to pass himself off as Japanese doesn’t want comics to get “political”? How about that...

I think Katana was one of the original characters to BATO. Batman, Black Lightning and Metamorpho were the ones I remember being established characters. Katana, Looker, and Geo-Force were new.

Especially growing up in the South with a very religious family. Sheldon would have had Jesus beat into him...

The Watchmen

Mushrooms aren’t plants...

Yes, but no more ridiculous than Season 1.

I couldn’t get into either TT or TTG because I’m old and wanted an actual adaptation of the Titans that I grew up with. Something like the Dini/Timmverse but with the TNTT characters and stories.

Shit.. I grew up reading the Wolfman/Perez “The New Teen Titans” and they were my favorite back in the day. I’ve been disappointed with every single adaptation since. The cutesy cartoony CN version which wasn’t dark enough, the DC Animated Judas Contract, and now this grimdark bullshit.

It doesn’t have to be a major movie. Why can’t it be a low-budget independent film?

I kinda did an eye-roll when I heard about this show. Borat and Bruno were funny back then but it’s just so 2000s.

Turns out ScarJo has officially bowed out of the production...

Yes. Of course. But no one is asking a white person to play a black man. (Outside of RDJ in Tropic Thunder.)

Uh, I don’t know HBO... That’s a lot of women for Joss to be inappropriate to be around.

Which is, itself, part of the problem.

I imagine all conversations with David Cross are difficult if the other party is a woman. I used to love his comedy but he strikes me as yet another self-centered dude who pontificates and talk down around women. Grew up in Georgia probably being only one of the intelligent book-loving educated people around. Never
