He was older than stainless steel.

No love for the most recent Eureka holiday special?

SciFi/SyFy has spent its entire 20 years lurching between "Let's appeal to somewhat think-y adults" and "Let's appeal to 11 year old boys!"

1. This is good. More folks in STEM is good, and having Deaf folks getting more involved in STEM (particularly things that enable Deaf folks to have an easier time doing so) is awesome. And go Gallaudet! 2. Yay Lydia Callis!

I was hoping that at the end they'd dissolve to the actual picture.

Fuck yes! This was a good solid low budget zombie film (admittedly filmed in some very very expensive sets). And it sounds like they managed to make a film even cheaper than the Primer folks did. (Always nice when "write to use the shooting locations you have available" means you can shoot at CERN, though...)

I've been thinking about "Person of Interest" as far as the narrative structure it uses. Normally, in procedurals, computers and geeks are the Greek chorus who provide exposition to the audience and the characters. I'd missed the hoopla (and, to be honest, had been ignoring most of the fan fiction friday stuff), but I think this is a good choice. I'm not a fanfic person, but I think the occasional "fanfic is awesome" might be a good choice.

God, I love the art in these. It's just a perfect encapsulation of the aesthetic of the time.

Those are wonderful. Also, Ms Rosselini makes a sexy-looking shrimp.

Wow. Now I want to see a fail-whale style blimp or gigantic balloon sponsored by twitter with their logo on it.

Cars explode. I was one of the first folks on the scene of an accident where a truck had run into the median strip of the highway. Several people thought we should move the unconscious driver "before the truck explodes" and the rest of the folks explained we should wait for the EMT's. (To be clear, the truck was

Does the statue of Lenin in the Fremont area of Seattle count?

Yes, rather. #corrections

*gasp* You mean the pro-forced-childbirth folks are spreading lies?

GAME OVER, MAN.
