Seconded. I Love “The Good Place.” It’s nice for writers to take a risk and see where it goes.

Yeah, that part really got me in the end too. In the beginning, her future descendant is comforting the viewer too - we all think everything will be okay because we see the “proof.” But in the end, our hopes and beliefs are just as crushed as Princess Carolyn’s are.

The way the narrative was framed, with one of her future descendants narrating the episode, and then to find out it was figment of PC’s imagination, that she invented to comfort herself during a time of stress was so fucking heartbreaking. I think we all have these imaginary scenarios that work as coping mechanisms

If you can’t sit through The Good Place maybe you’re the problem.

Just another old afterlife sitcom relying heavily on philosophical discussions!

I love how the original post dismisses The Good Place as “the dumb show before [Will and Grace]” then complains “is there nothing new in Hollywood?”

The dumb show before it is The Good Place and it’s amazing.

The laziest thing SHE has ever done.

It’s just semantics, though, it’s not actually an enforceable policy. I was in some triangles/squares when I was a kid that did sometimes get toxic with hierarchies and who’s-on-the-outs-now stuff, and before that I had a kindergarten BFF who ruled my life entirely; yeah I was a pushover, but she determined who I

I really worry about actors/actresses who undergo extreme bodily changes for roles. SURELY with the wonder of CGI and practical measures (like, say, prosthetics and body suits), this could be avoided if you still really want to cast a particular person in a role. This isn’t even the first time Bale has done

In the movie The Spice Girls were considered an outdated reference so I’m looking forward to feeling old when they get snarky about The Black Eyed Peas or something.

I’m Rob Lee and I haven’t left the church. Y’all haven’t gotten rid of me yet.

“Capitalism can be made into what a society requires and does not have to be an engine of greed and exploitation. That’s a choice the society has made, not Capitalism’s end goal.”

Capitalism’s end goal is profit, and only that. Capitalism cannot be “made into” what a society requires; rather it transforms society along the lines that most fully serve its interests, absorbing as many elements of “progressive” rhetoric as needed to best function in a given space. It absolutely is an engine of

No, making loved ones happy with a simple gesture is always better than abiding by what miserable idiots in comment sections declare “thirsty.”

I read the headline and thought, “Oh right, they dated briefly?” Needless to say, a outloud “WIFE?!” followed.

You know how I know Benji and Cameron are doing marriage right? Because I fucking forgot they were married. Good for them.

The line she made such a huge deal about was that he “made her famous”. I don’t really care if she was “half-right.” She still dedicated an awful lot of time to reaffirming a narrative that casts her as an underdog and props up a pretty common racist myth.

“At no point should a minimum wage job be a career choice.” DO YOU FUCKING THINK ANYONE WANTS TO BE IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR MINIMUM WAGE? You are fucking ghoul. Take your ‘free market’ bullshit and shove it up the anus of too big to fail.

“First of all, it makes getting tickets for a Taylor Swift concert into a game in which people with the most money get ahead.”
