    the oil light is a pressure light - it stays on till you get pressure - all 3.9/4.0 land rovers work like this.

    No sunroofs? - this is a 3.9 early motor, so first thing to is check the rotor button, they are made out of crap and short to the shaft inside the distributor. there are good ones you can buy or just get one from the autoparts store. If the cap is not getting spark, its the coil most likely, anyway there is a whole

    Nothing says adventure quite like fixing an old Land rover on the side of the road at 1am !!

    No one mentioned the Land Rover Discovery - $8k buys you a very nice one (5-6K really), under 100k miles, leather, 4wd, and some quirks that are easily fixed on the side of the road or the trail.

    You know the thing missing from that whole thing was a dirty Jalpa with 120,000 miles on it, thats driven everywhere...
