See I drove a rental Pathfinder with a CVT and the rpms would fluctuate under acceleration and it wouldn’t accelerate evenly. The Altima rental I drove had this awful bassy resonating noise at 2,000 rpms and all the car ever wanted to do was be at 2,000 rpms. It really made me think differently of Nissan. My 1997

It has a 200kWh battery. The P100D has a 100kWh battery. Add to that the fact that the Roadster is probably built to be lighter (excluding batteries) and more aerodynamic, I can see how the range is almost doubled.

Also, I’ve heard that the only reason the Baja came to exist was because when Isuzu stopped producing cars in Lafayette Subaru needed to figure out a way to fill the excess capacity at the plant so they created a new model based on the Outback that would require minimal new tooling. Not sure if this is true or not
