ATC let him know the gear was retracted, and it was intentional to try to get back to the runway. Sounds like right engine failure. I’ve only got .3 hour of multi time, and no interest in learning thus no formal multi-engine training, but I’d think one single 285 HP Lycoming would be good enough to keep a small climb…

I oddly never had an issue on my 92 240sx. Things worked flawlessly. I just didn’t care for the stupid sealed beam lights that were in them. You forgot the NSX, btw - it did popups well (IMO).

It’s been a great car!! Definitely needs some new bushings (I’ve owned a lot of Nissans, and they all turn to mush) as I get some rattling over bumps now. I’ve got a rattling exhaust as well, which I fix with straps to quiet it down. All the important bits have been bulletproof though.

Pilot here. Autopilot doesn’t just do all the shit for you; you have to pay attention. It’s gotten pretty good, and can even auto-land under certain circumstances (in large aircraft, anyway). Calling it Autopilot is accurate; people just don’t know WTF autopilot even is.

I just wouldn’t buy something from China which I’d bet my life on. iPhone? Okay. Other little cheap trinkets from Anker or other companies? Alright, fine. A car or an airplane? Hell no. Hard pass.

Same. I’m very happy that Jalopnik went with a reasonable title. I’d love it, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Also as a mediocre pilot, I know exactly how much it takes to learn to control one of these things... I just feel like an autonomous flying vehicle will be a disaster.

I kinda like it, but I’m 39 years old. A man my age shouldn’t drive something that looks like this. I’ve also never owned a FWD car, and I’m unsure if I literally could even... I dunno, but I bet it’s fun as long as nobody you know sees you driving it.
