You do need to pass a speed test to play. They actually make you run it every time you open the Stream link in your browser.

yo, you gonna do anything with that key?

I guess a trade being hung up on confusion surrounding two different players of the same last name is bound to happen, it’s understandable. At least, it’s not a professional organization (the Toronto Maple Leafs) offering a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract to one player (Jeff Finger) when they actually

Suns GM: “You know, I think Memphis will crack and include Dillon Brooks at any minute.”

Thank god there will always be some desperate, buyable class who will get paid to protect them.

It depends on perspective I suppose. I would argue that RDR2's single player is a complete game without the online component. Even though it is a premium game, the online component itself could be seen as it’s own freemium title, since without it, it’d have no impact from what is already a complete game.

Gamers: “Consumer Rights! The Invisible Hand of the Free Market! Meritocracy! Competition!”

Will have to run to the PBS app and watch this tonight!!

Um no... it is not too much. If my COO had walked around the office sack-tapping employees, I can guarantee he would have been fired on the spot. Firing someone for sexually assaulting people, being downright disrespectful and behaving in such an unprofessional manner is a slap on the wrist. A suspension and training,

I just want to take this opportunity to say, I saw the prosecuting lawyer for this case lecture once, and I quizzed him about just this thing.

it sets a pretty terrible precedent. Before the bar for what was considered copyright infringement of a song was pretty low. It was essentially does this song sound exactly like this other song (see ice ice Baby/under pressure). But now, if two songs have a few basic elements in common, one party can claim

There’s a saying that “hard cases make bad law.” I think it’s better said that “good lawyers make bad law.”

Make no mistake, Blurred Lines is a gross sexist song that I’m happy has been largely forgotten.

Exactly. No matter how you feel about the song or Robin Thicke, this is a terrible outcome for the music industry.

Think you for summing this up so well. This has enraged me for a long time. IIRC, generally copyright law in music involves what is written on the score, and much of the argued similarities were not documented.

Fucj is that what this was over?! I... I'm now afraid to write a song.

This is terrible. The song is alright if you’re into it I guess, and Thicke is an idiot...but what the fuck? Half of a song’s revenue because it kinda lifted a beat? Every Cumbia and every Raggaeton song ever use the same beats, yet somehow the Latin music industry has thrived. This ruling is bullshit and bad for art.

Ugh, I’m no fan, but this just seems like a terrible decision. It’s not even as close as the Pressure/Ice Ice Baby rip-off (which the court decided wasn’t a rip-off! IIRC)! It always sounded more like an homage rather than straight plagiarism to me.
