I have never seen a show trigger so much animosity from a people who claim to be otherwise tolerant, compassionate and open minded, based on nothing other than the political leanings of it’s lead actress. Seriously, those politics have influenced precious little of the show’s material, which has largely stressed…

The first episode was the most political by far. People who claim the show is putting forth a right-wing point of view are either bad at understanding television or just plain lying.

Yes but it was going to be toxic regardless. It was toxic before the first episode aired because people can’t separate fiction from reality anymore.

I’m anticipating the people who would want to jump in and sneer about how these employees are ‘unskilled labor who shouldn’t expect a living wage in retail’ are the exact same people who would throw a fit if an HD employee can’t answer all their product questions about plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.

Sounds like every retail job, ever. Not that that makes it right, but you could replace Home Depot with Target and it would be exactly the same.

If the chapter heading had been “How to Represent Argentina” instead of “How to Get Russian Women to Touch Your Dick” it would have been fine.
