Its not a performance car lmao
Currently thinking about getting an 8th or 9th gen Si when I finish college and getting some spending money
Hopefully this becomes enough of a hit to justify a last minute coupe model
Every prototype since before the C8 came out has a flat plane motor in it and they've been racing with it. Its gonna happen come hell or high water.
The R32 Skyline GTR was not only leaps and bounds ahead of the R31 but it was also leaps and bounds ahead of every sports car and most super cars of its time. The RB26 and ATTESA combo was giving Ferrari, Porsche and BMW migraines for a decade straight. Its no coincidence that nearly every fast vehicle available today …
How it deals with a heavy payload would be my main concern. I know most trucks will never be used beyond 20% of their capabilities but on the off chance I want to carry some ply wood or dirt, I’d like to know I don’t have to spend 45k+ on a full sized unit.
The V8 option and road presence give the 300 and Charger a pass in terms of being up to date. The exterior designs of both are all but timeless. The Q50 kinda just looks like a gussied up Altima from 2013.
The average car can’t do more than like 500-600 lbs what are you talking about?
Tbh most crews/contractors would rather have a small portable unit that they can bring into whatever space they're working in. Especially framers/carpenters. Its a ding on the stat sheet but not as important as being dependable and cheap to own.
R34 coupes are absolutely NOT 10k any more. At best the guy can hope for a base model Silvia or Gloria. 34 coupes have already hit almost 30k in Canada so getting one in the states will be a nightmare unless its wrecked.
My 06 Civic appears to run the HVAC around the front cup holders so your drinks stay cool with A/C and popping hot with the heater. You can also shift the manumatic like an actual stick shift by letting off the gas and upshifting or downshifting. You can also heel and toe rev match with manual shifting.
Good luck finding one in the Chicago area that isn’t rusted to oblivion and doesn’t have 200k+ on the odometer.
You sure you didn’t fill the trans with water by mistake?
Almost anything with a K-Series and an LSD is well within 10k
The Veloster is Korean but the point is still valid.
The guy said he wanted a reliable car.
He said he didn’t want another money pit lmao
Take your pick. Both the 8th gen and 9th gen Civic Si’s are under $10k, basically immortal with regular maintenance and have aftermarket support out the wazoo with a guaranteed 28 mpg or better with regular driving. Same can be said of any Honda/Acura product with VTEC and a manual trans. A Lexus IS or Infiniti…
Not to mention the job opportunities that open up for you when you decide to retire.
