#24 deserved to be a finalist. Fantastic setup for the shot.

@ProgenDev: You are correct, but the graph that can be very misleading without context, the relative growth vector chart, is the one that is the article's lead image.

@Rzah: The giant vector doesn't mean that at all. The giant vector means it has grown the most, profit-wise over the last three years. That's a no brainer since the graph from 3 years ago shows they had nothing. The vector chart would look quite a bit different if you looked at just the last two years or last year.

I don't consider this information all that... Informative. Most fanboys out there for the lion's share of those manufacturers are really rallying around the OS. RIM, Apple and Palm are unique in that the OS is exclusive to them. I would be more interested in seeing this broken down per-company on an OS basis. Also the

It's so cold. I'm going to put on this electric snuggie and go for a dip in the no-splash hot tub I just had installed. Then I'll be warm!

This article is filled with comments from people who think security through obscurity is actual security.

I was wondering when this would be posted. I saw it earlier today and I couldn't tell if my friend was just yanking my chain linking to an old article.

I'm pretty sure George is just stocking up for the end of the world. Maybe he thinks with enough money (or enough childhood dreams ruined), he can survive the apocalypse. The conversion of the movies to 3D is just a quick moneygrab before it ends. That's why he doesn't care about destroying his legacy.

Woah. It's like he's standing right in front of me!

I wish the Droid 2 had come out sooner. I also wish the battery life were a little better, but I can compromise. Instead, I ended up on my third iPhone and after playing with a Droid X (I prefer having a slider) I realized that it is really sharp. I just wish there were a GSM slider on par with the Epic or Droid 2.

I can't wait to see someone make a computer controlled frosting bag so that they can attach it to a six axis CNC machine.

This game is fun, but getting all three stars doesn't feel like much of a challenge. I've already played through the first three box types and got all three stars on each. Most on the first try. On a lot of the levels there just aren't any good ways to complete it without getting all three stars, so it seems less like

So, they've shuttered their consumer/prosumer plans and they're focusing on professional. I hope the forum posters don't shoot the messenger, but some people just look at these things through an angry lens.

@MonkeyBiz: My workplace's email servers tack on an ITAR notice at the end of every email.

@Bobburt444: I was laughing, and snot was coming out of my nose, but that's mostly from the cold. The laughing, however, was from the image macro.

@baxtercedar: I work with military systems and we have requirements like "display a low battery indicator when there are 15 minutes of life remaining (+/- 5 minutes)." 70% doesn't cut it for us. Then again, batteries only last hours in our stuff, not years.

@baxtercedar: I learned this the hard way by asking a hardware engineer at work "How much more battery life would we get if I could shave off 100 mW?" and his response was to pull out charts and cross reference to other charts and his response was essentially "Let's just give it a try and time it."
