And Nakai comes along and COMPLETELY devalues them.

When I first saw a Rauh-Welt 911 I was wowed as a fan of the 993 GT2 racecars... now it’s just “meh”, he does the same thing, over and over and over and over. In the UK there’s a term “rinsed” and this thing has been rinsed to the point of being drier than the fucking Sahara Desert.

This is funny for the wrong reasons.

Congratulations, you wrote about motorsport without outright hating on everything.

And Gran Turismo Sport STILL won’t have any Porsches lol

Same shit, different title.

Wait till you hear about AR12... lol

The car’s design is bland, not just any ordinary bland, but FUCKING bland.

Not in all cases, but even then at least there’s some assemblance of character to the car, for example: actually bothering to re-style the car.

This “new” Buick is also the Vauxhall/Opel Insignia, one of the most bland and characterless cars ever made, topped only by it’s predecessor: the Vectra.

Guys, it’s a fucking Vauxhall/Opel.

Exactly, and that’s exactly what Ferrari/AF Corse did in FIA WEC in comparison to other teams who sandbagged and begged for a Balance of Performance boost.

The black Cadillac LMPs which DAMS ran in Europe were probably some of the best looking cars of that time.

I doubt they’ll bother, just like they didn’t actually bother when Violentacrez was exposed.

The Ligier and the Riley look different to their competitors, Dallara on the other have seem to have elected to simply copy Oreca’s old design... the Oreca itself looks like a coupé version of the 015S, but I guess that’s what happens when someone cracks the ‘ideal’ shape.

They needed to race a full program in order to be competitive for race wins, Audi’s main advantage over everyone during that time was the number of races they entered on both sides of the Atlantic, that + the works-customer program they had going on with Team GOH, Team Veloqx and Champion Racing.

It still looks blatantly like a Dallara, so much for manufacturer styling cues then.

There’s also something “missing” from this, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. The Northstar cars were kind of uncompetitive, but they still sort of had an aura to them, this in comparison just seems a bit cookie-cutter.

You’ve just highlighted a point which biases your reply...

I would have loved to have seen them grab Lucas di Grassi.

I’m going to disagree with this passage of snark, the ‘quattro’ brand only works if you’re selling cars off the back of 4WD racing cars gaining, which is what they were doing in the 80's and 90's via WRC, DTM, IMSA and later BTCC & STW.

Looks ugly as hell.

Looks like it’s based on the A7 platform.
