Hmm... dunno, last I heard was that Aston Martin was being bought out by an individual who also wanted to buy one of the other existing F1 teams.

If these guys get product licenses from major motorsports series then Scalextrix and the others are in BIG trouble.

You can’t really call that a failure, very few cars win straight out of the box. Remember how long it look Mitsubishi and Subaru to become competitive?

Sorry, you can’t call Arrows a failure, they consistently got points in several years and they were one of the innovators when it came to the introduction of raised nosecones.

I think they’re suffering from the same problems as the F1 team: the team has the talent on the technical side, it has the drivers, but there’s too many people wanting to go in different directions with the design and as a result they’re still insisting on relatively ancient solutions like a frontal diffuser as

Exactly, and if you look at the exactly non-industry related reasons as to why the team had to be sold on, it’s more sad than people realise and even more sad given the team’s strides through F3 and F3000, under the direction of Paul Stewart they were on their way to the front.

Car #32 finished 3rd in 1998, #30 in 5th and #31 6th in the same race so hardly a failure, also one of them qualified 3rd in 1997, so hardly a failure considering they came up against Toyota, Porsche, Mercedes, McLaren, BMW, TWR and Courage (who had a damn fast car during that time)

No, it’s a car that’s at the start of what’s intended to be a long lifespan, stop going on the “we hate marketing” bandwagon.

Can’t really call it a failure if it got pole position at Le Mans, that’s like calling Bob Wollek a failure for never winning the Le Mans 24hrs = absolutely cynical

Also: 3. It was won the race despite being in the 2nd tier class.

Can’t really call either of them bad to be honest, scoring points as a non-manufacturer in the 21st century is hard enough, doing it consistently is something.

I have to correct you there, the team was originally Stewart F1 and they DID win and get pole and fastest laps etc. ...it’s only when Ford bought out the rest of the team, rebranded it as Jaguar that things headed south and Jackie Stewart was relegated to a mere figure head. (Incidentally the Stewart F1 team was run

Weirdly the Life F1 team’s chassis was capable of front end troubling cornering speeds, such a shame they insisted on the experimental engine.

You got to love how they’ve both visibly laughing as they’re going off

I miss this place!

I think Nissan have been using a place in Kentucky called The Bowling Green.

Raphael, it’s not from Ireland, it was shot by a guy called Lenny Howlett who’s linked to Yiannimize (guy who specialises in car wraps), this is probably somewhere closer to London but you can always ask him on his instagram.

He’s capable of fending for himself at the front in the right car, seriously, I’m not being sarcastic or anything. It’s actually good to see him keeping his nose clean.

It is a seriously amazing place, I don’t know how we manage to even think of words when writing about it, standing trackside at the Golf Curves (the bit between Mulsanne and Indianapolis) and seeing the cars do around 200mph over a crest seemingly glued to the ground and standing on the outside of Porsche Curves

This guy is just too awesome! lol
