Unfortunately, controllers very rarely see a design update through the life of a console. Launch or five years later, this will still be a problem.

Wat? Did you never play N64? That was worse than drift, that was complete catastrophic failure. To this day you can always tell if a controller was used to play a lot of Mario Party.

When I think of controller drift I think of the 360. Those controllers were awful.

For me, probably PS4. The games were good and I guess the controller’s touch pad was neat, but having online multiplayer locked behind a paywall really killed console gaming for me. It’s the main reason why I game mainly on PC now.

I’ll never understand how people can find symmetrical hand placement uncomfortable. Are symmetrical hands not normal? Is cerebral palsy really this common? How can people get hand cramps from having their thumbs resting in their most natural position?
