Maybe they were talking about Lakeshore State Park.

Port Washington has beaches on Lake Michigan (which new visitors say looks a lot like the ocean), but yeah, we don’t have any mountains in Southeastern Wisconsin. Up in Port Washington, there are tons of rich people who hate my neighbors, but zero mountains and our Six Flags is just across the border in Illinois.

I’ve lived in the City of Milwaukee for 12 years now, and I have yet to see an episode of either Happy Days or Laverne & Shirley.

There aren’t a lot of movies that are set in Wisconsin.

Um yes that picture is taken *from* Iowa but I can see that the picture shows the Wisconsin Side of the Mississippi.

That’s *sorta* true. “In God We Trust” was indeed added to the 2¢ piece and the nickel (which was new) during the Civil War. But the 2¢ piece was discontinued in 1873, and the design for the nickel was changed in 1883 to a design without the motto. It was also on the silver dollar in 1878, and that design lasted until

I get an Office of Unspecified Services, and everything is super clean, except for the Great Concavity. And I get to choose what company gets to name the year.

Um you guys what about the Great Lakes Avengers? When are they going to make that?

The crazy thing about this is that the original Wisconsin-Michigan border would have been a continuation of the Illinois-Indiana border... and this old, never-really-existant border between Wisconsin and Michigan is about where the majority-Packer-fan/majority-Lions-fan border actually is.

Here in Milwaukee, we don't need a dictionary or your rules. We spell stuff our own damn wey.

We don't like rules here in Milwaukee. We spell stuff our own damn way.

Back in the day, there was talk about a monster in Lake Michigan, but talk has died out for awhile.

I drove down Bray Road once, late at night. The scariest thing, to me, was being in Walworth County :P

If you say New Glarus is better than Lakefront, I will cut you. But there is lots of good stuff here in Milwaukee: if you want to do more than one tour, you need to do the Milwaukee Brewing Co. tour in Walker's Point. Their beers have tons of personality, too. But yes, yes, yes, the Lakefront Tour.

I'd like to point out that the Packers/Lions divide in the UP is pretty close to the original border between Wisconsin and Michigan, before it was decided to give Toledo to Ohio (and, to make up for it, to give Michigan all of the UP).

Me too; blue christmas lights always look, to me, like they're going to warp speed. I have some pretty bad astigmatism, which I thought was the cause. I actually clicked on this link because I thought it might shed some light on it.

I'd say Wall Drug is worth a visit. It's so completely ridiculous and over-the-top that I actually found it interesting. I mean, it exists so people can stop and spend money and it's in the middle of nowhere. I didn't think I'd like it, but it's just so stupid that it's fascinating.

Also, I can't believe I forgot about the Riverwest 24. I'll admit I'm biased because the race route goes right under my balcony.

Also Rockerbox.
