It’s not the first time this has happened in the history of the Methodist Church.

Pffft...Methodists. Cmon, people, where are your crusades and inquisitions and all that cool shit. This is no way to run a religion.
Several candidates released statements late last night. Pretty sure that waiting until damn near noon the next day EST is pretty patient.
Hasn’t Australian politics always been a giant dumpster fire. Most of their 21st Century PMs seem to come from leadership spills (essentially party coups) rather than a national ballot.
Get your shit together, MA. half the states in this supposedly secular country.
Good. It’s time for MA to start bringing its laws into line with what the constituents want.
Anyone who has dealt with this stuff with their aging parents will recognize the evasiveness, secrecy and reluctance to accept outside help as being extremely common and just part of the immense stress and heartache of seeing elderly parents deal with a progressive disease. I mean, I guess it could also be a sign of…
“Things are popping in and out when the comments load. HOW IS THIS SO BROKEN.”
I didn’t find it hypocritical. It’s one thing to be a rich person who uses their own money to help fund their campaign. It’s another thing to be a person (rich or poor) taking money from 3rd parties who are expecting a return on investment.
Look, I understand your concerns. Given the fact that Trump won the electoral college in the first place was so against conventional wisdom; that it’s understandable to expect the worst.
This is inaccurate, though. Sex is not based solely on genetics, and people who believe you cannot change your sex are not “scientifically accurate”.
I like Adam Driver a lot, but I’m on Terry’s side on this. They told him to take his headphones off. Does he also not want audiences to go see the movies that he is in, so that we don’t see the mistakes he’s made? Does he understand it’s going to be seen and heard by people when he makes these movies? It’s a pretty…
It’s a normal part of a lot of formats including the late night talk show format that he’s done the rounds on, though. I wonder if this is the entire story.
Sorry, but Driver is totally in the wrong here.
I wish I could be surprised by the amount of support this ugly ass man is getting but, this is Jezebel.
“Because I saw all the mistakes. The things that I wished I could change, but I couldn’t because it’s permanent,”
Regardless of your mistake I think your point stands, walking out was incredibly unprofessional. We all have to eat shit at work some times and keep moving forward, this should be no different. I’m not without sympathy for him though; instead of walking out he should have finished the interview and informed them he’d…
I feel like I'm missing something... Why did he take a profession in which your only job is to say things that will be recorded? I think he may have to get over this issue if he is to continue his job, which is to be recorded on film speaking.
It really irritates me that Rebecca left out the part where the Fresh Air producer said that they let Driver know in advance when the clip was coming up, prompted him to remove his headphones, and had the producer in New York (where Driver’s part of the conversation was recorded- Terry Gross records in Philadelphia)…
Eh, to quote Samuel L. Jackson, “If you can’t watch it, why should someone pay $13.50?”
