Okay. I mean it wasnt AWFUL. Bt yeah, there is SO much to watch these days it just got relegated to the wayside. Low priority. Probably doesn’t help that I don’t really like Rosamond Pike.  She’s a fine actress and a fine person near as I can tell, but she just always seems to play suuuuper unlikable characters. And

SO it gets better? Worth revisiting?  I mean, it just looked... cheap to me. The sets and costumes yes but mostly the WAY it was filmed. If that makes sense.

But why? I now regret watching season one through it’s entirety hoping it would get better but never did. Now this failed joke of a show is not only get a second season but a third as well? I would have laughed at your face had you told me this after the watching the first 2 episodes.

My guess at this point for Rand is that he’ll spend half of next season with Lanfear (ugh) and then the other half running toward Tear, culminating in his showdown with Ba’alzamon. I understand why they might feel the need to excise one of the two confrontations, but again, it feels just a little bit too much like

Not trying to sound snarky but.. there was already a renewal for a SECOND season? I barely got thru the first episode.

Are we sure he even read it?

It makes me think a bit of how all the people behind the Watch show went into damage control mode after the first trailer and were trying to convince everyone what big fans they all were of the Discworld books (“I have a first edition of The Colour of Magic!!”) No one bought it then, either.

Based on how much material he seems determined to change (and I don't mean the diversity changes, so don't paint me with that brush), I find it hard to believe Rafe Judkins actually likes any part of the Wheel of Time books.

Given how cruddy the first season was, either there’s a big step up in quality in the second (we can only hope), or Amazon doesn’t have anything decent lined up to replace it.

That sounds much more interesting than “evil eye”

Gone with the Wind was 4 hours and Titanic,The Ten Commandments, Doctor Zhivago, Ben-Hur, Avengers: Endgame and I could go on, were 3 hours or more.

His house probably has a full-sized movie screen in it, so it’s genuinely possible that he doesn’t.

Does anyone think James Cameron is really so thick he doesn’t understand the difference between binge watching (in your home, with easy access to free food, bathrooms and a pause button) and being trapped in a theater watching VFX for 3 hours?

Are You Afraid of the Dark getting the Power Rangers movie director to direct? That’s gonna be good. Yeah the movie wasn’t a great power rangers movie, but it was a good Breakfast Club meets a Chronicle knock off, which for the kids version of Twilight Zone meets Tales from the Crypt should be just perfect.

It really wasn't THAT salacious, relative to other episodes of the show, anyway. The occasional full frontal nudity in the background but it was mostly just more The Boys. The fight scene wasn't even as crazy as the buildup wanted you to believe.

I believe a lot of the style was informed by French sci-fi comic books of the late 60's to 80's like Valerian (for which Mézières was the artist). Of course, Besson would later get to do Valerian which was no where near as good as 5th Element (though I should give it another watching).

Negative, I am a meat popsicle.

Gaultier did the costumes. Moebius and Mézières did everything else.

Every choice Jean Paul Gaultier makes regarding the look of the film is 100 percent The Fifth Element.

Fixed it.
Sure Luc Besson is responsible for the direction of the film, but I think it should be clear that the visual styling of the movie is 100% JPG and possibly his best set of work ever.
