I liked the Battlestar Galactica finale….

I liked the Battlestar Galactica finale….

But as Lee Trevino said, not even God can hit a two-iron.

He was quit then, he's twice as quit now.

Great - thanks much for the suggestion, as I am reading the Shadow Country combined book (or at least that's the plan.) I'll give the different order a try.

I've just started Mathiessen's Shadow Country. All I've read so far of his was The Snow Leopard, which I didn't love, but mostly because he seemed to abandon his kid for months after the kid's mother died in order to pursue his animal-quest. I've heard lots of good things about Shadow Country, though.

Upvote for "Coming Up Close" - goosebumps every time.

Hard to believe that no one has said Andre Braugher yet. I stuck with Last Resort just for him (CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES!)

I felt much the same way, but I would recommend that you make it to the end, though. The conclusion is memorable.

Gillian Welch might also be available.

They did an AV Club Undercover in the last year or two.

Elvis was a hero to most….

Am I the only one who hears "Rachel Nichols" and thinks of Brett Favre's lawn?

OK, but regardless, Garrett Dillahunt needs to be in it.

That's too bad - I've always liked her as an actress, especially in the short-lived legal show from Philadelphia (with Rick Hoffman now in Suits, btw). I seem to remember that she had some personal problems that hopefully she's dealt with. If the interview's not working, it's not working, though.
(Edited to add:

My wife said "We Are the World", which I thought was a good guess given the hints - I didn't even consider Born in the USA despite the fact that I bought it (on cassette, of course.)

We have an elementary school named after him, which is especially fun for the little kids learning spelling….

Meanwhile Aimee Mann is cleaning houses in Portland….

When I think of Regina King, and cop show, it's still Southland.
