Overall I like it and that interior is pretty sweet. But every time I look at it I see a different vehicle, like it’s the next generation depending on the angle. I see Infinity, Audi, Mercedes, Cadillac (literally - isn’t that grill shape from Caddie?)! That’s interesting but I fear it then loses its own identity.

I’m thinking first gear is aligned with a lot of other comments - to get rid of the bad taste given from the dealership experience in general (and so they can control the pricing). There are a number of LARGE dealerships in our area that are going to the One-Price/No-Haggle model themselves. I used to drive Saturns

That little video clip of the Braun conversion was one of the coolest things I’ve watched in the last 24 hours! I never knew it involved THAT much modification but once you see it, it makes perfect sense.

NP just for nostalgia. I owned a ‘72 Plymouth Scamp in high school. Slant 6, white interior with the benches and pillarless which I aboslutely loved!! Bought the car for $800 if I remember correctly in superb condition. Added a Pioneer deck with additional speakers and for me it was the PERFECT high school car!! Mind

Your photos actually do a good job of conveying the odd feel to the event.  Maybe it was great for the drivers/owners as it must have felt like a very exclusive track day (more exclusive?....) but it just doesn’t look quite right.

I have no idea why but that scene is, for me, one of the most memorable movie scenes ever!

Nope, my comment was related to the cars I was comparing when I was shopping in 2017.  Just sold my truck for essentially $5k less than I bought it for 3 years ago with 40k on the odo.  I was really happy with that resale value and at the time Honda wouldn’t budge on the price, saying the resale would more than make

A few things:

I wish I had time to read through the comments so I don’t rehash a lot of this but so much of this article (and this truck) baffle me. And I will caveat this all with a note - this is all my opinion obviously.

It is white!  I am SO glad it wasn’t yellow as I fear the dealer would have known immediately that I would have probably handed over significantly more money for it rather than talking him down.  Now I just need to find a spot to see how it looks covered in mud - a tricky proposal seeing as it hasnt rained in like a

I’m in! Easy money to get into a pretty fun car. Still can’t vote (today I couldn’t even directly reply, had to piggyback here) but put me down for NP.

I know we’re going off-topic a bit but same - I just traded in my 2018 Silverado. Lease wasn’t up until February but got a letter from the dealer wanting it back now. Shopped around and ended up getting a dealer to give me $3200 over the buyback amount. Ended up picking up a used XTerra that was actually one the the

This saved me some typing.....agreed on all counts!

Is it a fear of change or realizing that ‘change’ should necessarily make something better and in this case, it does not?

How does this thing have less screens than the Grand Wagoneer concept????

Is that nuclear power plant in the last rendering ALSO being installed on the trail?

OK, thank you. I saw some comments about it resembling a Range Rover but I kept seeing the Lincoln.
Also - is “lots of screens” a good thing now?  The cockpit looks like its something from the upcoming Top Gun movie and if I’m remembering what it’s like to drive in this COVID world we live in it shouldn’t be as

Beauty is in the eye..’ and all that right? I think the car is stunning!

OK - I had already seen the “ending” yesterday so I don’t feel too guilty laughing when I saw this was posted to “Planelopnik”

I have a Panasonic in my attic that I have been dying to rebuild. I could take a look and send some pics if interested...
