Not to fall too deep into this rabbit hole but anyone have experience with older XC70s?  I am starting to seriously consider convincing the family unit that this would be a good first car for our new teenage driver!

Neutral - yes, bought a pickup less than a year ago. While not “luxury” I did choose it over a comparably priced and optioned SUV purely on an “emotional” level - i.e. I wanted a toy and this fit the bill. It is my first truck and while I have really loved it there are definitely compromises to ownership compared to

Not sure I understand the comment.  I don’t approve of any “swindling”.  From the story I don’t think Thum was swindled.  And I don’t know if anyone has or will be swindled by Amastadi either.  I don’t know, from the details of the story, if he is misrepresenting the cars so much as there is obviously “weirdness” to

I guess I don’t get why Thum has any business being involved at all, now that he’s already sold them for, it appears, something he considered a fair price at the time. Who cares if the next owners says they were transported here by alien storks in rainbow burlap. It’s not your problem, not your business anymore.

OK, funny because I made that comment to a buddy about his new Tesla and the panels gaps.

Laughed out loud having grown up in Westfield with family now in Northampton!  Thank you for that snort.

Interestingly enough, the main thing critical about this car is the interior. Which was the EXACT thing that I criticize the Tesla Model 3 for. I did not find it to be even CLOSE to what I would expect in a $60K+ car. Based on that this makes me really intrigued to get a drive in with the Bolt.

Gazillionaire #1 - “I have an exclusive deal with all exotic car makers and get first choice for all concepts and production vehicles” (Sips unicorn sweat from a goblet made from a comet orbiting Saturn, sitting in Dubai penthouse)

Rode in (and got to drive) my first Tesla this weekend. It was the Model 3 with Performance. There are actually no words for the acceleration, literally. I was speechless when we pounded the pedal on a VERY short section of road. It is like no other vehicle I have ever experienced and only a mag-launched roller

I got one for the house after 15 years of that weird thing you referenced, what was it a “shovel”? Mostly I got it because I got an insane deal last season but I used it during a rather ugly snowstorm to attack the end of the driveway that was plowed in. It was great to just sit there and attack the 2ft deep snow

I have no idea why I was so intrigued by this question.....so I googled it using the dealership address and asked for directions to the closest “Austinuts”.......

Exactly this.  My new crew cab Silverado has the shorter bed.  I REALLY wish it came with a feature like the ‘load stop’ one on this new tailgate.  To the point where I waited a while since the GMC announcement to see if anyone was building a weird aftermarket mod for my tailgate!  I don’t exactly MIND throwing straps

I agree with a ton of the comments already posted.  This is SUCH a good looking car.  I like the look of the Volt (a seriously underrated and underappreciated hybrid) and this just takes that up a notch.  I just wish it ACTUALLY had some value to its rarity so I could NP it.  However I think its right around the range

What???  Its crazy hilly around this place!!  Do you know the highest point in our lovely little state is something like 800 ft. above sea level (which is a really specific reference around here)!!!  So glad we don’t have to worry about vapor lock with our modern cars!!!

Not agreeing or disagreeing with the sentiment but will say we seem to have had more snow in the last 5 or so winters than I remember in the other 20 years I’ve been in the state!

That’s the Heritage Flight Team demonstration if I’m not mistaken!! I think we saw them in June at the Rhode Island show but using an F-35, not an F-16. They were a highlight of the day!

So conflicted!! I don’t know what it was but I get smitten by the mid-late 5000's when I was a teenager, seriously considering buying one back then but the prices were way out of my reach. I can’t disagree enough with the comments about “did’t age well”, I would take one of these over a BMW/Merc of the same time frame

Toyota - please see above if you need ideas on how to make the camo’d Supra look better......

Good friend got out of his Titan (I believe it was also an 06) as soon as he was financially able to for basically all the reasons you listed!

Would love to know your thoughts on build quality and the interior feel.  Before I got my Silverado I test drove a couple Nissans (not the Titan) and they were so bland and numb that I couldn’t believe it.  Have they done anything to make this truck feel different than some of the other vehicles in their fleet right
