?? I'm talking specifically about this film, not the show. The fact that the filmmakers heirs are now wanting to reign in the profits from the film leads me to the question that MST3K arguably deserves a cut, because without them there would be no demand for the film now.

This is an interesting chicken and egg question to me. I think the film had absolutely no value until MST 3K lampooned it; on the other hand without the film, MST 3K would have nothing to lampoon. My head hurts.
