I did a bit of googling and LGBT groups do march in the Cork parade each year, in smaller counties any groups seem to be allowed in once they're not specifically protesting anything. Dublin is a bigger production so maybe LGBT groups aren't large enough to merit inclusion, or they are included but not noticed as much.

I am Irish, I know you can't use the parades for protest but I didn't think LGBT groups were excluded, I thought I had seen some previously. But I haven't watched the parade in a few years. I'm specifically talking about Cork parades, maybe it varies county to county?

That's a real shame. Ireland has a long history of prominent (mainly G) LGBT people. It's a shame their legacy goes uncelebrated.

So they could march as LGBT Irish-Americans they just couldn't declare it? I don't see how it's a political statement to be inclusive of the various different kinds of Irishness, surely excluding them is as much of a political statement by a special interest group?

I cut off a male friend because he sells phones for a living and he told me when a phone is handed in for repair he and his colleagues will take any naked photos they find and save them for their own entertainment. He didn't get why I was so offended.

Apparently any naked male photos are because there is a famous naked woman in the collections of photos too. Dave Franco is Alison Brie's boyfriend, I think Kate Upton's boyfriend had photos leaked too but they're collateral damage the women were the targets.
