Sometimes I wonder what would happen if they just pulled these movies from the theatres a day before release. Naturally, it would just build hype for pieces of shit like this due to them not being viewable by the general public.

Doesn't The Rock stretch in every movie?

Like you'd want to live below Michael J. Fox with all that noise. Come on now.

Well, I guess I just have to disagree then, since I found the narrative to be entirely cohesive. I've never seen Bloodline, so I can't really compare and contrast the two shows, so I'm not sure. But nothing about Season 4 of The Americans confused me, or left me wondering about why certain things didn't make sense.

Okay, but what would be suspenseful, knowing that we have two seasons left? I think the point is that we have no idea what's going to happen next.

But that's my point, really. Everyone is looking for resolutions everywhere. Sometimes, they're not meant to happen at the points that people want. That's why The Americans is regarded as a slow-burning, well thought-out program. It's always been regarded as such, too, so I don't understand the differences now.

Agreed. Love Tatiana and her mysterious nature.

Couldn't disagree more. Turning this into some kind of political struggle with spy-novel type twists would be disappointing beyond belief. Anyone could write that kind of narrative, using Cold War events as tent poles in the plot. And this is coming from a Cold War historian.

I'm a bit disappointed with some of the reactions here. I understand the wishes for a big payoff, but this show has never been about that. It's never used any kind of big device for ramping up the viewership for the next season. Even the plot points for second generation illegals or Paige telling Pastor Tim about her

I hope even more critics call it the best show on TV. Because it is, and deserves the accolades.

Yet you keep trying for a reason. The show is actually that good.
