My only point is that Ford made a 4.6 liter V8 with overhead cams, the engine made 215 horsepower, and weighed 425 lbs.

And that’s probably right. My experience was with a V8 Tundra and a V8 F150 from the early 2000s. I guarentee you that that a modern V6 truck would get comparable milage on the freeway. but the Ridgeline would dominate in the city (and if you spend more than 1% of your time driving down narrow roads with cars parked

If you go into it looking for a sedan with a trunk / a modern el camino, it’s great.

XR stands for ‘Extra Reliable’. Not really, but it may as well.

The 3.5 ecoboost seems pretty stout.

The exact same engine? They use the same heads? The same valve springs? The same cam timing? Color me impressed. Wonder why the super charger adds so many balls to the otherwise 215 horsepower engine.

Putting a 4.6 liter boat anchor in the Mustang and telling everyone it’s a good car.

Honey you couldn’t afford one.

And also, where do you draw the line? Mustang GT vs Lexus luxury coupe? That’s apples and oranges.

I do my talking on the drag strip. Let me know when you want to race for titles.

I can guarantee you that this has the same problem as every other 4000 lb + sports-car-that’s-actually-a-gt-car has: it’ll put up some good numbers (on the skid pad and drag strip) but leave people who crave sports cars unsatisfied. But frankly, not many people want sports cars, and if you want a sport car, it’s hard

What doesn’t a Cayman GTS eat for lunch in a medium speed circuit? :)

35k for a mustang GT that’s over 2 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile than an 8k Yamaha FZ09?

visually this car looks at least 30k cheaper and 1000 lbs lighter.

Or a person who likes motorcycles! These things kick butt as motorcycle haulers!

They’re awesome buys used. My dad got a new one and my brother bought a used one - with 90k miles on it. We changed all the fluids and did the timing belt over the weekend and he’s had flawless truck ever since.

So a tuned Evo Lancer is unrelated to the discussion of ‘god level speed’?

Apparently Lexus doesn’t think so. And they don’t have to march to the beat of the Germans’ drums because they don’t make the same cars as the Germans. I have to believe people who buy these cars are getting exactly what they want. The GS-F probably scratches the itch of people who drive the GS and want more. No one

What segment is this in?
