No doubt, but you can get something like an MXL on a dedicated track cars. And most cars with analog dashboards give you the bare minimum - tach, speedo, water tempature, fuel and something like instant mpg or a voltmeter.

Do you need to see your speed on the track? Aren’t there clues like gear / revs / how quickly you move towards things?
If Yamaha can use a regular tach on the R6 with its 16k redline, I can imagine there was a way to use an analog tach in a 375k supercar.
What do you think of the new LED bar style Kawasaki tachs?
:)
In California, you can get a sequiential manual transmission and the privilage to split lanes - you just have to go the honda motorcycle dealer rather than the Honda car dealer.
San Fran traffic - nuff said. Super smart choice though! The Accord is such a nice car for what it is. Hope you drive it for a long time and save a ton of money for you toys.
Six speed or V6?
I think it’s more on the police than anyone. Many people don’t know that you’re supposed to keep right because it’s not enforced. You’re also not supposed to pass on the right. But sometimes you do, right? And when you’re speeding and passing on the right, are you more worried about getting busted for speeding or for…
1. Electric cars’ top speed issues are because batteries can’t transfer collossal amounts of energy quickly.
Why not?
Don’t you think my ‘analysis’ about using surge pricing to allocate cars to the people who want them most describes the allocative efficiency of a ‘free market’ better than ‘lol supply and demand’?
Designated driver. Walking. Taxi. Different venue closer to home?
If only there were a way to get around in NYC that didn’t involve cars. Someone should invent something that transports the public - I’ll call it General Movement or Public Transportation or Popular Conveyance something?
Maybe the ecoboost engines are cheaters. But people seem pretty pleased with the German/GM turbo motors.
Between the ‘atkinson’ cycle engines and turbo chargers, Gas is getting quite close to turbo diesel efficiency. The current gen Prius and most recent Accord hybrid have a peak thermal efficiency of ~40%.
I’m with you 110%. My friend had an E90 M3 that he flogged the shit out of - until the local PD put out an APB the car and started ticketing him non-stop so he sold it for an S55 - and it was a cool and one of the fastest street legal cars I’ve ever driven (if you can keep the motor on the boil). But we know the high…
I’m whining about the enforcement policies because using the roads for fun is severely punished. But using the roads to text and drive or using all of the road to drive because you’re hitting your kids in the back of your minivan is not punished at all. Don’t you think poorly driven 4000-6000 lb vehicles are more…
Yeah I know about charity rides, I just didn’t know about the police focused ones. I mostly use my bike for commuting. I don’t ride a super moto. I would ride in one of these groups if I knew of one but I live in the rust belt. I probably wont fuck myself with a chainsaw but you never know. thanks.
Alright. But there’s also an issue with enforcement. I’ve been busted going faster than the speed limit. I paid my ticket. And I was given the option to pay more money and keep the ticket off my record. All I learned that day was that I gotta keep the written amount less than 100 mph and have $400 ready to pay the…
