It’s one thing to have to constantly catch microaggressions while at work or in line at the bank (or from actual bank tellers) but at your front door? Really? You’re gonna bring your opinions, lies, and complaints to my front door?

I’m a white lady. It’s not misogynistic. It’s fine.

As someone who sold Rainbow vacuum cleaners in her early 20s, I can attest to the fact that carpets are dirty. No matter how often you vacuum and deep clean them (yes, even with a Rainbow,) unless they are brand new, someone can come in and suck up a bunch of dirt to show you what your vacuum is “missing.”

If you’re not delving into the Castilian language voice-over credits to comb for clues, are you really even paying attention?

The guy that intervened was having exactly none of Karen’s bullshit and good for him.

I fully support throwing the book at these fuckers, flying is unpleasant enough without these stupid assholes lashing out at the people who’s job it is to keep you safe and comfortable while you’re stuffed in a metal tube with a bunch

per your example, they dont need any lindas they need to be from linda, so holler at their moms and get the deets

And yet no one ever offers the tree counseling

just gals being pals

Yeah, no one codes at 70 WPM... I’m not even sure how you translate lines of code into WPM anyway, lol.

In COVID times where like 70% of my day is spent on Zoom calls/meetings, one practical benefit of typing quickly is less time everyone else spends watching me type as I post a comment somewhere/update a spreadsheet/add a line to the “meeting minutes”.

I’m in my mid-40s. I took typing in 9th grade. I didn’t really learn to type at speed though until I got to college and email became a thing.

The reason I took typing in 9th grade is because of my mother.  She has, no joke, a Bachelors of Secretarial Sciences.   She would type our school papers for us if required

Yeah I have over a decade of development experience and given the strength of modern IDEs and features like intellisense and autocomplete (not to mention basics like copy/paste and find/replace), I’m never churning out 70 words per minute. If you are, you’re probably doing something wrong.

Are you kidding? Not every intersection can be a roundabout. They have thier place (and are all over the US now), but they’re very costly to construct and maintain, and they and take up way too much space for most use-cases.

He might have a stint as a Republican elected official in there.

Before I got to the agency I’m at now, I was working at the tax collector’s office - in the department for delinquent and bankruptcies - so that thought came up a lot.

Dude literally begged the IRS to audit him. Let’s roll.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
