Yesssss. I nearly bought one of these on Saturday but decided to hold off until my next paycheck. But now I’m gonna head right over.

As I’m coming in late to this thread, I just wanted to say that I’ve found it hugely educational and interesting reading. So thanks for all the time you’ve obviously devoted to it, despite the people who seem to either have very poor reading comprehension or are way too invested in getting seated 20 minutes faster to

She’s more the popular, super competent type. She’s that nice girl from your high school who is friendly with everyone but only has a couple of really close friends (who she’ll still be close with when she’s 80), is effortlessly near the top of the class, and seems to be really good at every hobby she tries. Only she

Hm. Jessica Fletcher?

Trixie Belden!

That book traumatized me. Especially the loop where the CIA(?) found out he knew about future events.

I loathe chicken, which is actually considered even more un-American, so I know exactly what you mean.

*blink* *blink* Except that they’ve had this program going for at least several years? But it is, indeed, a good one.

My (admittedly limited) understanding is that it’s very common for people in comas to stop menstruating just as a matter of course. It’s also not that unusual for the very thin, or the plain old sick. We don’t even know if she’s been menstruating since her accident. Also, the article doesn’t say how old she is, so if

*rolleyes* Sure, they answered a question no one was asking, put mild physical evidence on the screen that never existed before with no explanation for why it never existed before, and we’re not supposed to notice that the concept is still stupid or be annoyed by that? Its called “violating the suspension of

I knew someone was going to say that, but I hoped they wouldn’t because it would mean that they have no idea how set design and/or storytelling works. Every other Star Trek show Mirror Universe lit their sets as dark and shadowy and dressed people in dark colors to properly convey that we were in a place of EEEEEVIL.

Personally, I’m still just hung up on how incredibly stupid it is that they made the Mirror Universe literally instead of metaphorically darker.

I’ve seen a couple of people note that Supernatural has outlived both livejournal and tumblr.

That’s... actually decent casting for an older Blue Devil, though. I wonder if he’ll get zapped permanently into the suit.

This is an excellent shopping list for my brother for Christmas, thank you.

Perhaps the worst part of this pile of terrible ideas is the implication being drawn that “disrespectfulness” (however the fuck they’re defining that) is somehow related to wanting to hurt a child.

Don’t be an idiot. I was responding to the crazy person’s crazy need to mention soap as something that handwashing uses to clean dishes. As if the dishwasher doesn’t too, and probably more powerful soap at that.

This is the craziest comment in this comment section. The dishwasher uses chemicals and runs for a very long time at a much higher heat than you can hand wash at (even if you’re not using the sanitize setting). If you’re actually as phobic about germs as you’re implying, you should be all over that.

The first book is actually a reasonable starting point, as it introduces not only the universe but also a bunch of characters that will be front and center for the next several books. All of the earliest books are still in print, so it’s no problem to get. It’s a short story collection, though, and not actually a
