The problem is, those panels aren’t fiberglass. They’re a heavy-gauge injection molded plastic, not unlike you’d find on a kid’s toy dump truck. Those panels aren’t ever going to be made straight.

Manual conversions are harder on to pull off on the facelift E38s simply because of the electronics; early cars are easier since you can base the programming off a Euro car. Even in ROW markets, BMW didn’t build a facelifted E38 V8. The mechanical bits are actually the easy part.

For $10k, I would personally expect it to be a little closer to complete than it is. It’s more than a little rough around some of the edges. Probably would be a fun car to have, but I’m not paying 100% of the price for an 80% complete vehicle.

i work with parcel post and got to be parcel post a couple times coz the driver didnt check if the trailer was ready before driving... sooo.. im lucky?

Thats alot of money to spend to ensure the public knows about a car that wont be anywhere but the dealers service center.
