Regardless if batteries are more pollutant (which is not), is that by going to the electric transportation infrastructure, we are moving away from the fossil fuel infrastructure. Watch the engineer’s presentation. One thing Lidar cannot do is add context to the vision or read signs.

Another problem with supplier is different battery technologies. LG Chem used pouch cell; Panasonic, cylindrical; and so on. Different battery management and cooling. So once they stick with LG Chem, they’re stuck with that supplier.
